Recently, Dropbox announced that it’s changing its terms of service by adding a forced arbitration clause, imposing a ban on consumers joining together in class actions and adding other offensive provisions that effectively ensure that Dropbox’s customers will never be able to hold the company responsible for violating their rights.

I did not know of Dropbox requiring users to waive judicial process until now. I pay Dropbox $800 per year for 5 users and have been doing so for years. This arbitration agreement is not acceptable.
I have been a paying customer and avid recommender of your services for years. The value of your services, however, is entirely based upon trust. The addition of a forced arbitration clause to your terms of service would be a severe violation of that trust that would cause me and many others to lose faith in your company.
Dropbox, do you not believe that the right to jury trial should apply to your consumers? Your move has created a significant amount of bad karma for your company which had previously enjoyed a positive reputation.. Please reverse course.
I am an officer in one of the largest assocations of attorneys in the nation. We transfer massive amounts of documents and testing videos on a daily basis. I receive documents over Drop Box on a regular basis. If DROPBOX insists upon us giving up my constitutional rights just to send files, I will use our list server to initiate a boycott of your services. Forced arbitration is a dispicable practice.
Many lawyers are storing crucial documents for specific client cases on Drobox, the loss of which could jeopardize theclients' cases. Ethically, I don't beleive lawyers could agree to the class action restrictions and other limitations of liability without getting client permission. Most will find that too much of a hassle and simply store documents elsewher.
I'm sick and tired of SaaS companies trying to deny consumers as much legal recourse for real harms as possible. STOP IT!
Consumers need to contact their Senators, Congress reps and State atty Generals and FCC to fight against forced arbitration. Verizon just transferred telephone, internet, cable tv FIOS service to Frontier Communications who is forcing consumers to give up their right to sue as a condition of using these govt regulated and tax $$ supported services. We have got to fight against this abuse and big companies who have Congress in their pocket.

I won't use drop box services if they think they need arbitration to protect their profits. It means to me that there are enough problems with their product that the only way to be successful is to sell my rights.
