We, the undersigned residents of Braddock, Pennsylvania, are voicing our support for Bridging

the Gap Jr High Loft Apartments, a Black-owned business dedicated to developing

mixed-income housing in our community with a workforce development aspect built into the

project. This project aims to provide high-quality, accessible housing that serves individuals and

families from diverse income levels, which is essential for Braddock's growth and resilience.

Why Mixed-Income Housing?

Mixed-income housing helps to create a balanced, vibrant community by allowing residents from

various financial backgrounds to live and thrive together. It supports local businesses, fosters

economic diversity, and promotes neighborhood stability by encouraging long-term residents to

remain in Braddock, while also attracting new families and professionals who contribute to our

town’s economic health.

Our Vision for Braddock

Braddock deserves quality housing that reflects our community’s needs, strengthens our local

economy, and creates an inclusive environment where everyone has an opportunity to succeed.

Bridging the Gap's project promises to bring these benefits by investing in our town and helping

to meet the demand for affordable and accessible housing.

By Signing This Petition, We Support:

- The development of mixed-income housing that provides affordable options for residents

across income levels.

- The growth of a diverse, inclusive community that welcomes all residents, regardless of

income.

- Workforce development initiatives and projects that include commercial property on the first

floor.

- Economic opportunities for local businesses that will arise from increased housing and

resident retention.

- The commitment of a Black-owned business to reinvest in Braddock, adding to the

empowerment and representation of minority-owned businesses in our community.

Together, we can help ensure that Braddock remains a place where residents feel secure,

supported, and empowered.
