We, the admirers of Robert Jordan’s literary legacy, The Wheel of Time book series and its television adaptation, and the narrating genius of Ms. Rosamund Pike, submit this petition to request the production of an audiobook adaptation of “New Spring” by Macmillan Audio.

“New Spring” novel is very dear to the fandom as a prequel to the main series. It delves into events that occur 20 years before the primary storyline, and is crucial for understanding the Prophecy of the Dragon, the intricate politics of the White Tower, and the relationships between pivotal characters such as Moiraine, Siuan, and Lan.

Ms. Rosamund Pike’s outstanding narration of other books in The Wheel of Time series (including The Eye of the World and The Dragon Reborn) has garnered significant acclaim and was endorsed by two Audie Awards for Best Female Narrator (2023) and Best Audiobook in the Fantasy Category (2024). We cannot imagine anyone else giving voice to the hundreds of characters in the series, and we would kneel before her to humbly plead that she accept this task.

By signing this petition, we collectively express our desire to see “New Spring” brought to life through the exceptional narration of Ms. Pike and the expertise of the Macmillan Audio team. We further pledge our willingness to support this endeavor by means of crowdfunding or personal commitment, if applicable.
