The town finally approved the plans for the park this morning. It has been a long and draining road to get here but we actually pulled it off. I am going to take a moment to rest before we start keeping an eye on the construction phase.

Reaching this level of visibility took much longer than I anticipated but the momentum is finally shifting. I am exhausted by the constant uphill climb yet seeing this support keeps me pushing toward a space for our kids.

Our youth deserve better than just sitting around on their phones all summer. a real skatepark would get them out and active.
The kids need somewhere to go!! tired of them getting kicked out of parking lots for just trying to practice tricks.
Skateboarding is a sport just like soccer or baseball. treat it like one.
My son has been skating in the streets for years and it honestly makes me nervous. A park would be way safer for everyone.
PLEASE!! so many towns around here have one already and ours is way behind.

About time New Canaan got with the program. build the park!
