The number of surfers in the New England area has increased drastically in the last decade, and this trend looks to continue in the near-future. However, due to cold-water conditions, limited surf breaks, and distance problems, many people in New England who are interested in learning to surf choose not to. Also, there are many New England surfers who will never get to experience the breaks of tropical locations such as Pipeline, etc. Therefore, this petition has been created in hopes of building a surf park at a centralized location in New England (in the case, 6 Flags New England). The goal is not only to introduce our amazing sport to everyone who is interested, but also to allow experienced NE surfers the opportunity to experience different breaks from around the world, without having to actually travel around the world to do so.
