Spring 2009
Dear City Leader,
You have the power to shape the future of the next generation! We urge you to:
1) Uphold the City's investments in San Francisco's next generation:
* Stop attacks on the City's Funds for Children & Public Education;
* Protect city programs most critical to families'survival & economic opportunity, like childcare, afterschool, academic support, and violence prevention programs.
2) Support our "A thru G Equity Plan" to Graduate All Students Ready for College & Career -Not Poverty or Prison:
* Raise expectations for students of color and increase their opportunities for support and success.
* Pass a new policy making "A thru G" coursework the default curriculum and high school graduation requirement in SFUSD.
Don't foreclose on the future of the city's children and youth!
Invest in opportunities for the next generation.
Sincerely,
The stories coming in about the lack of support for our young people are impossible to ignore. We are currently meeting with city officials to demand these budget lines stay intact. Call your local representative today to insist they prioritize childcare and the A thru G curriculum.

We hit our first major milestone today and the pressure on City Hall is officially mounting. Post this link on Facebook right now and email your representative to let them know we are watching their next move.

Total joke that we even have to ask for this. fund the schools and stop acting like kids are just an expense. they are the future of this city.
