The Charter School Cap Lift is a bill that can be passed in order raise the number of charter school seats allowed in Massachusetts. There are 37,000 students currently on a charter school waiting list. If the bill is passed it will allow more families to have a choice in the type of education they want. It will allow students to be in a great community school and get a quality education.

I started this because I have watched too many families in our community struggle to find a school that actually fits their children. Reading the stories you all share reminds me that we are fighting for something that changes lives every single day.

Seeing this momentum grow reminds me of the countless families I talk to who just want a fair shot at a better school for their kids. This surge in support proves that people recognize how many children are being left behind by the current system. We are finally gaining the traction needed to force a real conversation in the state house.

I'm a traditional public school educator who has always been on the fence about charter schools. However, if lifting the cap on the number of charter schools in Massachusetts truly provides EQUITABLE for students and parents choice then I support the effort.
sharing innovation across public, catholic and charter schools in Boston has shown excellent results for all the cit's children

Yes to Charter Schools, especially NHCS and the amazing scholars that come from it :)
