Nintendo, you\'ve done a lot of things right in your history as a gaming company, but there is one thing you\'ve never been more wrong about. In Eric Walter\'s interview with Gamasutra on October 25, 2007 he stated that Nintendo was pleased with the application of Friend Codes, and the consumers didn\'t mind them. While this may be true for the non-gaming casual crowd, the true gamers feel otherwise. Friend Codes are a nuisance to input, especially for those who have a lot of friends they play online with. With console-only Friend Codes, you can achieve everything you could with the game specific codes, and with much less hassle. I can understand you don\'t want to emulate the ideas of others, but take a hint from Microsoft. The Xbox 360 is known as the best console for online play because of the freedom and features it provides. Get rid of new Friend Codes for each game and take a hint from Microsoft\'s online, and the gaming community will respect you a whole lot more.
