NISD: School Marshall/Guardian Program
In order to assure parents of their children’s safety when on Northside ISD school campuses, we demand another layer of security at our vulnerable schools for SY 2022-2023. Specifically, we ask for a task force of armed citizens who wish to stand up and protect our children, teachers, and staff. These citizens could be parents, grandparents, or taxpayers, and would be trained heavily by local law enforcement, subjected to intensive background checks, drug testing, and psychological testing in order to meet standards the district would implement for this task force.
We no longer believe Northside can protect our students. Our schools will be safer as a result of applying this program throughout our campuses.
Essential Functions of Members of this Task Force Team:
-Uses whatever force is necessary to prevent or abate an active assailant incident.
-Immediately responds to and engages to stop the threat of an active assailant.
-Conducts perimeter and inner school checks to ensure premises are secure.

Our children deserve more. Our teachers deserve more. Kids deserve to feel safe in an environment where our teachers can get back to their jobs and have peace of mind.
