Directly Selling Fast Food to Public During Coronavirus Outbreak Critical Mistake For America

Selling fast food directly to the public is the worst idea we could have had in stopping the spread and flattening the curve of Covid19 transmission. Not only does every time the drive thru window open air from inside the vehicle gets "sucked" into the restaurant putting the associates at risk, but just one unknowingly infected associate could inadvertently infect hundreds of guests every single day at only one location.
The offers and deals marketed in comfort and help in crisis are further increasing the move to go out and pick up. This is encouraging abuse of social distancing and actually increasing the potential spread of this deadly virus.
We should immediately impose new regulations on fast food restaurants nationwide to go to no-contact delivery of goods ONLY! This will not only encourage sheltering at home but also protect our "essential" work force needed to cook and supply the food for delivery. Sustainability in this area is key to keeping our restaurants open over the course of our recovery. If all the associates get sick,...who is going to run operations?
Let's raise the alarm before it's too late. Protect our industry and our guests.
Let's close the drive thru and switch to NO CONTACT DELIVERY ONLY!
