Your Hilliard neighbors in Hyde Park and West Briar need your support to prevent a funeral home from going right in their back yard and impacting their daily quality of life. Make your voice heard and tell the City of Hilliard that a commercial business does not belong in the center of a neighborhood. All neighbors want to see the church at 5505 Hyde Park maintained and used in a way that benefits the community, but a funeral home and commercial business is highly out of place in the middle of a planned neighborhood.

Neighbors are concerned about:

• the impact on property value and desirability of all our homes
• the traffic it will cause and safety for our students and buses
• limiting cultural and religious diversity as some neighbors would be unable to live (or enjoy the city park) in such close proximity to a funeral home due to their faith
• the message that anywhere in Hilliard, even the center of a neighborhood, is open for commercial operation regardless of the impact to neighbors.
