The corporate suits at Taco Bell think they can just bulldoze our town into another generic strip mall. We are nearing 250 signatures and we need to hit that mark before they ignore us completely. Send this link to everyone you know in Aledo right now.

The secretive process of attempting to bring in Taco Bell tells you all you need to know: this endeavor makes a quick buck for a single owner at the expense of the long-term financial and cultural profile of Aledo.
If you want a big city with Taco Bell, move to a big city. We moved here four years ago from MI because of the school. If we had seen a Taco Bell, we wouldn’t have picked here. This is supposed to be a small town with a small town vibe. Not a city vibe! Which also brings in more crime.
Our family does not want Aledo to be like all other suburbs across Texas. We moved here over 11 years ago, to live in a town with character and community, not cookie cutter fast food and chain stores. NO TO TACO BELL OR ANYTHING SIMILAR! We don’t even like the CVS being here.
This is against the Aledo plan introduced this past November and would be detrimental to our community and children. Aledo needs to be a unique place, not ANYPLACE!!!!
No to Taco Bell-1187 already has high traffic volume and noise. A Toco Bell would increase traffic from the high school and it’s late night hours would definitely mean additional traffic and noise. Overall a Taco Bell (or any fast food restaurant) would be a definite negative to the POA neighborhood and home values.

When you look towards 1187 from I20, there is a view unlike any other in DFW and it is what first drew me to Aledo. I understand that charm will draw in others, so growth is inevitable. We are at a turning point where the growth can add to the natural beauty of the area or turn us into another dfw suburb where you cannot tell where one city ends and another begins. I want Aledo to be a destination instead of a place that is passed through and that starts with not opening up our city to a fast food corridor.

This will shut down other unique destination establishments from having any desire to come to our community in the future. This is about SO MUCH more than just a Taco Bell. If it must be a fast food drive through, TB sits on the bottom of my list personally.
