The undersigned residents of Clairemont Avenue and other neighborhoods in Decatur, GA want to make it known that we are opposed to any transportation solution that includes rails, guideways and overhead wires being added to historic Clairemont Avenue. These proposals keep being presented over our repeated objections. Additional public transportation on Clairemont Avenue is unnecessary due to the underutilized buses and trains already in Decatur. The “trains” or “trolleys” are unsafe and will not improve the traffic between Decatur and Emory. Furthermore, these solutions are not to the benefit of Decatur residents, but those travelling through Decatur.

Seeing this much momentum reminds me why I fought for these historic streets back when nobody else was listening. Your backing proves that our neighbors refuse to let Clairemont Avenue be lost to these reckless plans.

this is a terrible idea. it will destroy the character of the area and do nothing to help the people who actually live here.

Traffic is bad enough without adding tracks and overhead wires. The buses are already empty anyway. Leave our neighborhood alone!!!!

Clairemont is a historic street and we dont need big loud trolleys ripping thru our neighborhood. enough already.
