The Assembly rejected the proposal for a private taxi service today. Keep an eye on the budget reports next year to ensure they do not try to bring this back.
We the undersigned believe proposals to create a chauffeured taxi service for the Chair (Brian Coleman) and Deputy Chair (Sally Hamwee)of the London Assembly are bad for the environment and bad for London.
Wherever possible Assembly members should use the free travel passes they receive rather than using public money to subsidise an unecessary chauffeur service.
We call on all Assembly members to reject the proposal for a chauffeured taxi service when it is discussed at a meeting of the London Assembly on the 14th March.
The feedback I am hearing confirms that Londoners do not want their tax money spent on private cars for politicians. Post the link to this petition on your Facebook wall today so these officials know we are watching their next move. Email your local Assembly member now and tell them to reject these luxury expenses.

The momentum behind this push is real and the pressure on the Assembly is mounting. Send this link to three colleagues right now. Email your local representative to demand they reject this service before the upcoming meeting.

Waste of money. London needs buses that run on time not fancy cars for politicians.
