Hello All,

Rick Wolthusen here - I am a Duke-trained psychiatrist. I now work at McLean Hospital (in the Division for Psychotic Disorders) as an inpatient attending. I am a member of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and the Massachusetts Psychiatric Society (MPS).

The MPS 2025/2026 elections will start in April. Nominations for office can be made by the Nominating Committee. Additionally, nominations can be made by a petition signed by twenty-five (25) or more members eligible to vote. I am currently a member of the APA Council on International Psychiatry and Global Health. I am also a member of the Global Mental Health Caucus, where I co-coordinate efforts to compile a Global Mental Health Curriculum for psychiatric residency programs. I believe in the APA as an institution and its components, and I am eager to take on additional responsibility. I kindly ask you, as a member of the Massachusetts Psychiatric Society, to please sign this petition to allow me to be added to the nomination list for APA Representative. There are two open positions this year.

Please reach out with questions (rwolthusen@mgh.harvard.edu). I want to thank you in advance for your support.
