NO STAFF LEFT BEHIND!
Dear Chancellor Reed and CSU Trustees:
We, the employees of California State University San Marcos, are writing to express our discontent at the announcement of CSU compensation for managers, executives and bargaining unit employees.
Executives: 11.8%
Managers: 6.75%
Faculty: 6.2%
CSUEU Staff: 2.7%
You say \"It is the talented and skilled employees of the CSU who deliver the quality programs and services students need to earn their degrees.\" The truth is that we are the \"Cinderella\'s of the CSU\" doing all the dirty work while everyone else goes to the ball.
Your bargaining team knocked our pay raise down from 3.7% GSI to 2.7% GSI when we are not even keeping up with inflation. We don\'t get housing allowances, car allowances, entertainment allowances - we just pay our bills and support our families with our plain old state employee salaries.
Shame on you! Where is your sense of fairness It\'s bad enough that 1% for a president is $2000 and 1% for an average secretary is $40, why multiply the inequity Pay us what we deserve!
Sincerely,
YOUR HARD-WORKING STAFF WORK FORCE
The disparity between executive raises and our own pay is becoming impossible for the administration to ignore. Please email Chancellor Reed today to demand that staff compensation is brought in line with the rest of the leadership.

The momentum we have built proves the administration can no longer ignore our frustration. Post this link on Facebook right now and email our campus representatives to demand they acknowledge these pay gaps.

Total inequality. The execs are already making way too much while the rest of us struggle to pay rent in CA. Fix it.

2.7% is a joke when inflation is eating us alive. How do they sleep at night.

This is embarrassing. The people doing the actual day to day work are always the last ones thought about. Do better.

My workload has doubled in the last year and this is the thanks we get? Absolutely ridiculous.

Management keeps lining their own pockets while staff get scraps. Keep the doors open without us and see how far you get.
