Nowruz, a deeply significant cultural event observed by millions worldwide, holds immense importance to Iranians and serves as a symbol of renewal, unity, and cultural heritage.

Nowruz, also spelled Norouz or Navroz, marks the Persian New Year, symbolizing the onset of spring and the commencement of the Iranian calendar year. Celebrated for over 3,000 years across diverse regions, including the Balkans, the Black Sea Basin, the Caucasus, Central Asia, and the Middle East, Nowruz usually occurs on or around March 21st, embodying the rejuvenation of nature and the advent of new life.

Dubai's diverse population, inclusive of a substantial Iranian community, presents a unique opportunity to showcase and celebrate the rich traditions of Nowruz. By incorporating Nowruz celebrations into Dubai's cultural calendar, we aim to foster greater cultural understanding, appreciation, and unity among residents and visitors alike.
