We, the undersigned NYSSMA members, urge the New York State School Music Association Executive Council to move forward expeditiously in instituting an online NYSSMA Manual and an efficient online Solo Festival application and scheduling procedure, including printable NYSSMA forms. Benefits of an online NYSSMA Manual could include: easy and accurate reference for all teachers and students involved, instantaneous error corrections saving countless errata sheets and mailings, accurate listings on NYSSMA Evaluation Forms, saving printing and paper expense for NYSSMA.

While we applaud NYSSMA for its recent innovations regarding digital recording at large ensemble evaluation festivals and online applications for All-State, we do not feel that adequate attention is being paid to these other important aspects of the NYSSMA experience, both of which would improve the process immeasurably for NYSSMA members and their students.
