In March of 2012, the Oaklawn Cemetery Board ordered the killing of bluebonnet flowers, the state flower of Texas, on the grave sites of the cemetery, many of which had taken years of hard work by the owners of the lots to grow. This petition is for the purpose of ceasing to mow any remaining bluebonnets, and to restore the bluebonnets that have been destroyed.
