This is a petition to have the Medicina Forensis 2016 exam made an online exam rather than a sit-down exam.

While the method for this format will clearly be at the discretion of the course administrators, such an online exam might entail having the exam paper uploaded for a certain number of hours on Vula for us to complete answers and then upload them.

The reasons for an online format being favoured over a sit-down format are as follows:

1. It will guarantee us the possibility of completing the course, by writing the exam in a peaceful environment, without a threat of disruption.

2. It will allow for some much-needed certainty regarding the exam. All that would be required is for a date and time duration to be set.

3. We are not medical students and are taking this course as an elective to learn a bit more about a different area of the law. Many of the final year electives in the law faculty have been made either take-home or online and as such, we believe that we should be afforded this opportunity too.
