Request to Open Flick Park Pickleball Courts
We are respectfully petitioning Glenview Park District (GPD) to reopen Flick Park Pickleball Courts (FPPC).
1. There are many people, residents and non-residents, who visit FPPC to play pickleball, and all are welcome to join in a racking system which allows one (1) player to “rack up” with three (3) others to form a game. See below.
2. Each group of four (4) players participates in one (1) pickleball game. At the conclusion of the game, players exit the court and allow the next group of four (4) players begin.
3. GPPC players pledge to be respectful to others by following the natural flow of a racking sequence. There is a “next” marker which moves left to right.
4. If there is a group of four players, when they arrive, they place their racquets in the rack, which allows them to receive an open court in the order a court is available.
5. When players are proximate to the paddle rack, they are mandated to wear masks.
5. GPD is responsible for the maintenance and clearing of snow from FPPC safely.
6. Players will not shovel or use sharp, metal instruments to clear snow on the courts.
7. Players respectfully request GPD to promptly reopen GPPC to allow many people to participate and enjoy outdoor pickleball.
