This is a petition (“Petition”) to request Special meeting of the members (“Meeting”) to be called by the Board of Directors per Article III Section 4 of the By-Laws of The Tiller School of Carteret County (“Corporation”) for the purposes set forth herein.

This Petition is brought by an active member of the Corporation, whose name appears below, and states that this Petition contains no less than ten percent (10%) of the signatures of all of the active members of the Corporation requesting that this Meeting be called.

The purposes for requesting the Meeting are as follows:

Discuss, review and vote to proceed with Plan A which includes important safety measures, such as face coverings, social distancing, symptom screening and cleaning but does not require schools to reduce the number of children in the classroom nor implement any additional stipulations, as soon as possible but no later than November 16, 2020 and the possible override of any Board of Directors' decisions on this matter. This is based on Governor Coopers announcement to begin returning public school districts and charter schools elementary schools (grades K-5) using Plan A by October 5 and Carteret County on October 19.

Each and every active member of the Corporation, whose signature appears below, hereby acknowledges that he/she has read the Petition Requesting a Special Meeting of the Members of The Tiller School of Carteret County, signed by Jennifer Devan and dated October 21, 2020, a copy of the which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, including the purposes for requesting the Meeting to be called by the Board of Directors, in its entirety and agrees with the request to the Board of Directors to call this Meeting.
