Good education is the future of our young people.
Young people are the future of our state. If this government is truly committed to creating a culture of youth empowerment, involvement and retention then it has to start from the inside out. Its time for our leaders to stand up and acknowledge that young people are the most affected in any education reform, and should therefore be central within every stage of it.
The time for change is now, and it has to start from attitude. If young people are shown by government that their input is not only allowed, but considered and valuable, then it will completely change the dynamic between these two demographics.
We need to start by including young people on every level of issues that affect us centrally, for example education.
This is where needed social change must start, and I call upon our elected representatives to lead it.
