Atto Beaver park is a great place for the local community that live near the park and for everyone who lives in the Sherbrooke area. The rink is used a great deal and is very popular in the winter. However, unlike some of the rinks in Sherbrooke, Atto Beaver rink is not paved. It is still gravel which makes it useless in the summer. The park would get far more use and more children and families playing at this park if the rink was paved. People could play ball hockey, roller hockey, skateboard, bike, etc. If the rink was paved there is the potential to paint tennis lines and have a portable tennis net so people could also play tennis. There could also be basketball lines painted with a couple of rotating hoops installed (like bleu, blanc bouge). The picture is of an outdoor rink in St. Catherine de Hately exemplifying what could be done at Atto Beaver. Please support this project by signing the petition.

La patinoire est très utilisée et est très populaire en hiver. Cependant, contrairement à certaines des patinoires de Sherbrooke, la patinoire Atto Beaver n'est pas pavée. C'est encore du gravier qui le rend inutile en été. Le parc serait beaucoup plus utilisé et plus d'enfants et de familles joueraient dans ce parc si la patinoire était pavée. Les gens pouvaient jouer au hockey-balle, au roller hockey, skateboard, vélo, etc. Si la patinoire était pavée, il est possible de peindre des lignes de tennis et d'avoir un filet de tennis portable afin que les gens puissent également jouer au tennis. Il pourrait également y avoir des lignes de basket-ball peinturer avec quelques paniers de basketball rotatifs installés (comme bleu, blanc bouge). The gravel at Atto Beaver turns a perfectly good rink into a useless space for most of the year. Take a photo of the current condition and post it on Facebook to show our city officials exactly what we are dealing with. We need to keep pressure on the parks department until they commit to paving this surface.

its a very good idea to make a new basketball court, because there isnt a nice one in lenox.
What a great idea, that does not compromise green space. Seems like a no brainer to increase the potential of already used space in the park
Paving the rink would increase usage of the area and make it easier to maintain in the winter when they flood it. LOVE this place - spent almost every night of winter on the ODR so far.
Reach out to Montreal Canadians, Sens did a rink similar to this in our town. Has basketball hoops for summer and in concrete pad with permanent boards.
Lennoxville needs more tennis courts. Tennis is a great game for people of all ages and abilities, and has become one of the most popular sports in Canada. We need to encourage people of all ages to be active outdoors. Parc Atto-Beaver is the perfect location to execute this project.

I think it would be a great idea since young kids have a jungle gym to play with but teens have nothing so it would be great to have hockey and basketball courts for teens if they ever go to the park
