Recently, the Planning Department of the City of Sydney Council has recommended the pedestrian bridge connections over Castlereagh and Market St should be removed. These are the bridges that connect David Jones to Westfield Centrepoint. Independent Research of the pedestrian bridges users and City shoppers has shown these bridges are used regularly by many city shoppers and beyond making shopping more convenient they also make shopping easier, safer, quicker and more accessible.
