Wal-Mart says they want to build in our town. Current proposed location is just west of the Prague Middle School. Prague has taken great pride in our Main Street and the flourishing businesses that have been a part of our community for years. Our City has worked hard to improve traffic flow and landscaping of our Main Street. Prague businesses can have beautiful fronts, signage and landscaping - but without customers they will close. Our family businesses will not survive if a Wal-Mart in town is undercutting their profit with prices that we simply can not compete with. Spending money at our local businesses keeps the money here in Prague and spent up to 3 more times studies have shown. Our small businesses keep our town great.
