*This is a counter-petition against the students and parents in support of the current petition for the extension of Winter Break.*

Naturally, it is understandable that students desire time off from classroom settings and the rigors of school. However, the length proposed for this year's Winter Break is a heinous insult to the ideals of our founding fathers; those of hard work and perseverance. We should resume education the day after Christmas, this will ensure all of us ending our year on a good note.We already get enough days off during summer, not to mention Thanksgiving and Spring break, snow days, and various holidays. This is why we're behind the Chinese. Let's be different. We should open up our eyes to the magical influence of an education. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER! #HandPicks
