This is a petition asking for guidelines to be put in place for visiting residents of senior living and assisted living facilities. At the moment in Texas, there are no directives regarding how one can visit a family member or loved on in one of these facilities, which is leading to many seniors to pass or enter into severe depression without having the support of loved ones and family members around. These seniors are becoming collateral in this war against Covid-19. For many seniors, Covid-19 is not the greatest enemy, their greatest enemy is TIME. Managers of these facilities are hesitant to allow anyone access as they have no guidelines concerning what is and what is not allowed during a visitation. Our seniors need help, now is the time.
