PETITION TEXT: Lionel and Anel Maharajah has poured their heart, blood, sweat and tears into the Ou Meulteater for the last 7 years as managers. Building the theatre up to a successfull brand in 2024, when things weren’t looking good prior to their reign as managers. They have helped our local community arts thrive. They are more than qualified to continue managing the Ou Meulteater as they have been working at the theatre since 2008 under previous managers. They are also artists themselves that understand what artists need behind the scenes and the management in front of the curtains. They have built up relationships with 100s of artists and patrons who have supported the theatre.

For them to not be part of the theatre’s future after all they have done, especially through COVID would be unjust.

We urge you to sign this petition to keep them on as managers.
