It is time for the Lord to act. (Kαιρός τοῦ ποιῆσαι τῷ Κυρίῳ)

It is the intent of this petition to have the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople review the chaos in the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America (GOA) and have each of the eight remaining hierarchs of the Eparchial Synod suspended, investigated, and either removed for their blatant disobedience to the Ecumenical Patriarchate (our Mother Church) or for their actions which have “severely damaged [the spiritual environment] by behavior that is wholly contrary to Christian values, which has resulted in, among other things, the distribution of hurtful and destructive [behaviors] throughout the [Orthodox community at-large]. While this turmoil is not totally [the Eparchial Synod’s] fault, nevertheless, [they] bear the greatest responsibility. It is the [hierarch] who is expected to preserve the orderly life and unity of the [Church], keeping it faithful to its divine purpose.” (Direct quote from Metropolitan Methodios of Boston, with a slight modification in brackets).
