Support Aircraft Maintenance and Refurbishment and Recycling at Llanbedr Airfield
Snowdonia National Park Authority has backed plans for Llanbedr airfield to be used for recycling old passenger jets as well as a base for flying military drones and park planners believe the proposals will not have a significant impact on the local environment. Recycling is only a small percentage of the process that would be undertaken, as the majority of planes will arrive for maintenance, servicing and refurbs, not forgeting the training school and UAV'S including the building refurbs to the site in general.
The Snowdonia Society have asked for the Welsh Assembly to call the decision in and conduct a public enquiry putting the proposal at risk of cancellation.
We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders in the Welsh Government to act now and refuse the call to refer the decision to the Welsh Assembly Government thereby passing the decision back to the National Park planners and to pass the proposal to recycle aircraft at Llanbedr Airfield.
