The
application of the Kearney Realty and Development Group for a “Workforce
Housing Development” to be known as “The Mews at Hopewell”. Said development is
proposed to be located on ~9.25 acre parcel at 672 Route 82, Hopewell Junction
and is proposed to contain 68 dwelling units and an onsite superintendents
unit. The proposed development requires special Permit approval from the Town
Board and Site Plan approval from the Planning Board.

We,
the undersigned, are concerned citizens of East Fishkill who urge our leaders
to act now and decline the Special Permit for the construction of a 68 unit
affordable apartment complex which will include low income housing at 672 Route
82, Joe’s Mothers Road. If you share our concerns about our community please

The upcoming review meeting is heavy on my mind and we need more signatures before we present our case to the board. It is exhausting to keep pushing against this development but we have to hit the next major milestone to show them that our community is paying attention.

We hit one hundred signatures today and while the road ahead feels long and exhausting I appreciate that you are still here with me. It is heavy work to push back against these plans but seeing this many neighbors agree keeps me moving forward.

Obsurd plans in an already congested area. The hopewell city center would require an infrastructure upgrade before this goes through.
Route 82 is already a mess at rush hour. adding 68 more units is just going to make it impossible to get anywhere in town.
All, Please show face at the Town Board Workshop being held on Thursday October 30th at 7:30.
Hi Michael, Hickman recived 173 of the names last thursday and will receive the remainder this Thursday afternoon before the workshop. I can send you a written petition if you send me you email. Thank you for your support

Why are you really petitioning this complex ? Are you worried it will bring down the market value of your homes ? Do you think that these people are criminals /lowlifes/unemployed and may tarnish the prestige of your koolaid neighborhoods ? Low income does not mean low quality.
