We the undersigned property owners and taxpayers of Currituck County, North Carolina, strongly oppose the project known as Corolla Club and Resort, intended to be built on land currently owned by the National Audubon Society, as proposed by Sumit Gupta et.al.

The density of the project clearly violates the intent of the Natural Heritage designation of the land, the proposed sewerage treatment facilities would jeopardize the aquifer upon which neighboring communities depend for potable water, intense use of the beach would have a deleterious effect on two federally endangered species and the high density which has been proposed would significantly alter the character of the area thereby further reducing property values in adjacent communities.

It is respectfully requested that the zoning and land use exceptions sought by the developer be denied.

Once it is built you cant go back. Save the habitat before it is too late.

Not in our backyard. The aquifer is already fragile enough without adding all that extra waste.

The traffic and the crowds are already too much. DENY THE PERMIT.

Leave Pine Island alone. That land is for wildlife not for a giant concrete club.

Ridiculous idea. Our water supply matters more than some developers profit margin. Stop this now.

Keep the island natural. We dont need more massive resorts ruining the view and the environment. Keep the zoning as is!
