Pirelli improve F1 tyres
We, the fans of real Formula 1 racing, have seen in the first 4 races of the Formula 1 World Championship 2012, how the tyres that Pirelli have produced for this year's races are negatively affecting the essence of the sport. Many teams and drivers, including 7 times World Champion and 2nd driver with the most races in the history of the sport, Michael Schumacher, World Champion Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg, among others, have voiced their worries that the current tyres don't allow them to show their driving talent and races have become exercises in tyre management mostly. We fans have witnessed how the spectacle has suffered because of this, with drivers unable to push to engage in on-track battles, which we believe should be the essence of auto racing and Formula 1. This petition is to urge Pirelli and FIA, manufacturer of this year's tyres for the Formula 1 World Championship and regulating body of the sport respectively, to improve the tyres within this season and as soon as possible, so that the Championship can live up to the huge potential it had before the beginning of the season. As a way to demonstrate our commitment to the sport we have loved for so many years, we are determined to make our opinions heard and acted upon. The most effective way of doing so constitutes a boycott of Pirelli tyres and related products and we hereby pledge not to buy any Pirelli brand products or to recommend them to anyone and pass this message on to every Formula 1 and motor sports fan we know.
