we just got the word that parole was denied and he is staying behind bars. its such a huge relief knowing the right choice was made for the burkard family and i cant thank you enough for sticking by me through this.

As a signatory of this petition, I attest that I am familiar with the case of The State of New York vs. Leo Coleman and the Burkard family and respectfully request that parole not be granted to Mr. Coleman. Mr. Coleman’s release would undermine the anti-drinking and driving advocacy for which the Burkard family has undertaken. As this case was highly publicized, the community watched as Mr. Coleman received only 1 2/3 to 5 years for aggravated vehicular homicide. It would send the wrong message that the consequences of his felonious actions were not commensurate with the taking of a person’s life.

Drunk driving ruins lives and he needs to face the full consequences. Keep this guy off the streets.
1 2/3 years is an insult to the victim. Deny the parole.
THEY DESERVE JUSTICE. do not let him out!
the family has been through enough already. he needs to stay where he is.
