I received the incredible news that the old lineup will be reuniting for a special session at the house. I honestly thought this was just a quiet hope of mine, but your enthusiasm made it impossible for them to ignore. This belongs to all of you who kept the music …

I've watched the 70s incarnation of the band from footage on shows like Old Grey Whistle Test and Musikladen, and as a group they were, without a doubt, fantastic. The versions they did of songs like "She's Gone", "Abandoned Luncheonette", "Do what you want, be who you are", "Is it a star", and "Falling" are among my favourite versions of Hall and Oates songs.

Obviously personnel changes over the years, and Daryl has seen core changes to his band over the past few years, but I think with the internet phenomenon that is 'Live from Daryl's House', they should do something really special and get Eddie Zyne, Stephen Dees, Todd Sharp, and David Kent to re-join Daryl, John and saxophonist Charlie "Mr. Casual" DeChant for a performance on Daryl's show, even if it is just a one-off. If you agree. please sign my petition and hopefully, if word of mouth becomes so strong - it would be a persuasive argument for Daryl to get the band back together.

I am honestly stunned to see so many people who love those old recordings as much as I do. It feels like this is gaining actual momentum because of your enthusiasm and not anything I did. If you feel like sending this link to just one or two other fans today we might reach that milestone sooner than I ever imagined.

I wholeheartedly support this idea! The 70s live band were the fire under Daryl & John's asses at the time! Killer live band!

What a fabulous band. Todd Sharp is an awesome player. He is tasteful, he listens and he never overplays. His solos are so inspiring. Bring them all together before its too late!

While it's still possible, and with "No Regrets, put the old band "Back Together Again" for a LFDH episode!

LOVE the Hall & Oates 70's tour band...amazing, talented musicians...this is real musicianship that endures the test of time. This would be a great way to show the world what it takes to play music that touches the heart & soul.

Saw them at Croydon, UK, in '76. Stunning live band and Todd Sharp is still one of my favourite players.
