I, a local resident residing within 200m from Beat Boxing Bulimba request your support in seeking approval for the material change of use for the business located at 64 Taylor Street, Bulimba. Beat Boxing is a popular community and family focused fitness business that has been operating for four years of which my family and I have been attending for the past two years.

I am one of the closest receptors residentially to this business and personally believe that with limited fitness facilities in this area, Beat Boxing is a positive business and a ‘go to’ place for all ages and abilities, especially at a time when the fitness and healthy lifestyle movement is thriving. This boxing business is in a great location with no negative impact to the surrounding residential community. There is a large number of local residents who walk or ride their bike to this venue. For those that do drive, with the varied operating hours, I believe vehicle impact is extremely low. Please help keep Beat Boxing located at 64 Taylor st, Bulimba by signing this petition to support their approval in the development application.

Regards, C G Patterson.

This petition supports the following key particulars:

  • The expected carparking relaxation is supported given the nature of business conducted and the popular modes of transport used to access the site are primarily by foot or bicycle,
  • The gym has a longstanding history with the area and is used frequently predominately by nearby residents,
  • The operating hours and noise effects of the gym are not considered to impact on the locality.
  • We, the undersigned, are supporting the Material Change of Use from Light Industrial to Indoor Sport & Recreation.
