Preserve Community Access at Odlin Park
Generations of islanders have used the fire pits at Odlin Beach. Many of the bonds in our community have been kindled by those fires, and many existing ones have been nurtured by the food cooked on them. Odlin, until March 2021, was the only public access beach where community members could gather around the fire without having to pay an entrance fee, making it the ONLY equitable access point on our little island.
The fire pits have been removed without any community input.
Make your voice heard!
If you believe in equitable access, if you want to once again gather with your community members around the fire to celebrate your birthday, your wedding, your graduation, and all the other dozens of reasons to come together around the warmth of a fire, please consider signing this petition and bring the Odlin fire pits back!
