The council finally passed the resolution to protect our property rights. I am worn out from this fight but the result makes the exhaustion feel worth it. We should keep an eye on how they implement this moving forward.

A Comprehensive Plan is being developed by our county that will have an impact on our property rights in the coming years. This plan will be a template for future councils to follow. It is imperative that our elected understand the assault on private property rights that are coming from the present Washington DC White House POTUS Joe Biden. We want our local elected to reassure us they will indeed protect our God given right to property. Democratic Presidents such as Clinton and Obama have enacted orders that indeed confiscated millions of acres of private land that was effectively removed from private use forever and the warning signs are there that a Biden Presidency will be no different, he has stated his goals clearly in his approval of the Green New Deal.
The Tenth Commandment from our God states, "You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife or his male servant or his female servant or his ox or his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor." This holds true for GOVERNMENT as well!
We the undersigned citizens on this petition of Pickens County SC do hereby request our elected Pickens County Council accept and sign the following resolution designed to protect our private property rights.
Resolution to Protect Citizens' Property Rights
The undersigned elected officials of Pickens County Council who are charged with upholding and protecting the Constitution do hereby agree to the following:
a) Planning for Pickens County citizens involves and affects regulation of private property rights.
b) Individual property ownership constitutes an asset of unique value, as well as being one of the foundations of individual liberty for all American citizens.
Recognizing that value of property rights, we agree that all citizen's private property rights in Pickens County shall be placed in the highest priority of consideration during the planning and passage of any tax increases, ordinances, planning, zoning, and agreements with any private/public partnerships as well as any non-governmental agency; and,
In the event that any part of the planning or recommendations resulting from the process and passage of any tax increase, ordinance, planning, zoning, and agreements with any private/public partnership as well as any non-governmental agency, shall potentially negatively impact any property rights, property owners or the value of their private property, those affected property owners shall:
- Be brought into the discussions as a major stakeholder.
- Be justly compensated if Pickens County Council votes to invoke Eminent Domain over a citizen's property.
3. Before any Pickens County Councilman or their agents come on a citizen of Pickens County's private
property for planning purposes, permission must be obtained from the property owner.

Please make the Biblical and Constitutional decision to protect our property rights at all cost!!
My land and home is paid for. I will not allow the government to infringe on the rights of citizens. Once land is bought the government should have no say or rights to said land. We own it.
As a home & property owner, I am opposed to the attempt of more take overs of my rights. Pickens County council members, be well informed before making changes.
American by birth and heart. Homeownership is the American dream and you don't have permission to trample my dreams.
Protect our rights! Just because Washington has went crazy, doesn't mean you have to do the same! You are suppose to serve the public, not run over and subject us!
