WE the families of Saint Agnes School and Parish, and supporting Community of Saint Agnes, wish to communicate our collective appeal to you that Maura “Mo” Orpin be permitted to return to St. Agnes under a new employment contract so she may continue upon her more than 20 years of successful dedication and service to our students, staff, parents, and parishioners. Mrs. Orpin’s dedication to the Saint Agnes School and Parish is unparalleled.  Through her efforts, literally millions of dollars have been raised to support both St. Agnes School and St. Agnes Parish.  Through her efforts, new families have been recruited to the school.  Through her efforts, families which had previously left the school have returned, and families which contemplated leaving the school were encouraged to, and ultimately did, stay part of the St. Agnes family.  In short, there is no bigger advocate for the St. Agnes School and Parish than Mrs. Orpin, and she is an invaluable asset to both the School and Parish. Whatever the circumstances which led to the decisions which have been made up to this point, there is nothing which cannot be rectified through communication, contrition and a commitment to unity by all involved (Mrs. Orpin, Pastorate, School, and Parish Administration and Staff, as well as parents and supporters) for the betterment of both St. Agnes School and St. Agnes Parish.  As families and supporters of St. Agnes, our common purpose is to advance both the School and Parish to achieve their greatest potential.  It is with this common purpose in mind, and the conviction of our moral conscience, that we are compelled to communicate our sentiments to you.  St. Thomas Aquinas said: “To bear with patience wrongs done to oneself is a mark of perfection, but to bear with patience wrongs done to someone else is a mark of imperfection and even of actual sin.” We are reaching out to you because we care about St. Agnes School and Parish. We are reaching out to you because we care about Mrs. Orpin. We are reaching out to you because we know both St. Agnes School and St. Agnes Parish are better with Mrs. Orpin involved. We respectfully request your intercession in this matter for the good of St. Agnes School and St. Agnes Parish; we invite and welcome your communication; and we pray that wisdom, rational thought and understanding will prevail.

Prayerfully,

Families and Supporters of St. Agnes School and Parish

ST AGNES NEEDS MO!!! She is the reason we stayed after having issues a few years back. Keep her on board.

My kids love her. She actually cares about the students and the future of the school. Please rethink this decision

She raised so much money for the parish it makes no sense to let her go like this. Get it together.

Twenty years of service and this is how she is treated? Unbelievable. She brought so many families in over the years.

Ridiculous decision. Mo is a total powerhouse and the school is gonna suffer without her leadership.
