Attention Leon, Wakulla, Gadsden, Liberty and Franklin counties!!Did you know Florida Statute 827.06 provides criminal punishment in the form of a misdemeanor to a thrid degree felony for non custodial parents who fail to pay support!! But the 2nd Judicial Circuit State Attorney, Willie Meggs, refuses to prosecute. The Legislature expressly noted their intent of the law as a criminal means of punishment when civil remedies fail. Please sign this petition stating your support of prosecuting non custodial parents who do not provide support for their children in violation of FS 827.06 and show Mr. Meggs that it is a law just as important as any other law and needs to be prosecuted! Lets put the burden on the parent, not the citizenry of the State of Florida!

Our grandson's mother has gotten away with this for almost 13 years and we just can't seem to get any resolution. Went to court again July 1 and she slammed the door against the wall on her exit from the courtroom, was detained by 2 deputies but walked ot and we had to release him to an angry visitation.

My kids father owes over 15k and nobody does anything about it even after I gave the states attorney his current address. Taxpayers are tired of picking up the slack while these people just walk away.
