I have been coming to the Pungra Fitness Classes at Southall Sports Centre on Sundays and would like them to continue beyond the current sessions which end in July.
As a resident I would encourage our Councillor’s to support them through the Ward Forums process as they encourage health and wellbeing in a social setting.
The administration remains silent regarding the future of our Sunday classes. Take a moment to email your local councillor today and demand that these sessions stay in our community.
July 9, 2015
The momentum behind these classes shows that our community refuses to let this space disappear. Send an email to your local council representative today and demand they prioritize funding for these sessions.

Getting rid of this is crazy. It's the only activity the centre does to speak to the diverse community. Really bad idea.

I would like to petition the Council for the Free Pungra fit classes to continue at Southall Sports Centre. Over the years Pungra has become very popular as it has a cultural focus.
These classes have given people from the diverse community, the prospect of keeping fit in an enjoyable way. Exercise can benefit the community and have great impact through improved health as well as amplified social connectedness. The continuation of these free classes will provide a specialised cultural focus that would allow physical activity to become an integral part of one’s lifestyle and mental well being.

This programme has been an over whelming success on so many fronts, with regularly packed classes with local people from varying backgrounds, lets hope what has started can continue.
