Final supporters
Uttoxeter makes up a large proportion of the 'Burton' parliamentary constituency, but currently has no representation in the official name. Andrew Griffiths MP is now calling for Uttoxeter to be added to the name of the Burton constituency to make it ‘Burton & Uttoxeter’ in the current review of parliamentary constituencies.
The proposal will be sent to the Boundary Commission which is the body responsible for overseeing the changes to the constituencies. The deadline for the consultation is the 5th December, but for the campaign to have the best possible chance for the propsal to succeed it will need the support of Uttoxeter. If you are a resident of the constituency who would like to see Uttoxeter on the political map please add your name to the campaign by the 30th November.

I am honestly stunned by how many of you decided this matters enough to step forward. This momentum belongs entirely to the people who live here and care about our home. It is humbling to see that I was not alone in wanting our town to be recognized.

Uttoxeter needs to be named , we are a Market town , not a village on the outskirts of Burton.
Completely agree with this proposal. Burton & Uttoxeter would surely help to improve recognition of our lovely town.
Giving Uttoxeter proper recognition is long overdue. If one traces local history one will find that when agriculture was a major industry in this country, Uttoxeter was financially more important than London. We have major employers with major brands known worldwide.. It just makes sense.
This is long overdue. I live in Burton but support this - Uttoxeter is an important and historic town that deserves to be recognized in our constituency name.
Uttoxeter is the second largest conurbation in the constituency but is unrecognised despite both its population size and economic importance

Since the start of Mr Griffiths as MP for the Burton and Uttoxeter constituency he has worked wonderland put them both on the map and made them recognised for the jewels that they are. It would only seem fitting that it is made official
