I support the Quebec government and citizens in protecting half of the territory of the Plan Nord to protect the environment, safeguard the biodiversity and develop the natural heritage.

The Boreal Forest (taiga) is a very important part of our planet. It is the home of thousands of caribou, unique freshwater seal, many endangered species and it is the summer breeding ground for North American songbirds and waterfowl. It is also an important carbon reservoir and climate regulator.

Please protect half of this globally important ecosystem from industrial activities and ensure that aboriginal knowledge and rights are integrated in this process. I support the Nature Needs Half vision globally and your leadership to implement this vision in Quebec!
