Dear Shareholders,

My name is Victor Roggia and I have been a Queensview shareholder since May 2014. I first lived in Building 8 and now I am in Building 5. I like living in Astoria and plan to stay here for a long time.

My forty years of professional experience as an electrician and IT engineer has provided a deep understanding of building systems and operations. I have been able to draw upon this experience to implement and a plan to manage every aspect of the infrastructure of this complex, from the water system to the electrical, plumbing/mechanical, and IT framework.

I have been a Board member for the past 6 years and have collaborated industriously with our professional partners to spearhead the multitude of capital projects that have been undertaken since 2018.

While we must invest to address the repairs and replacements required due to our aging infrastructure, it is also important to remember that we do not have unlimited funds at our disposal.

To that end, we have fostered a culture of fiscal responsibility amongst the staff, management, and vendors which requires strict adherence to avoiding waste, sourcing competitive pricing, and maximizing all resources.

The next few years will be challenging with all the mandated changes regarding carbon emission reductions. We are working with some of the most knowledgeable experts regarding reducing QV’s carbon footprint. I have dedicated myself to learning as much as possible about how to comply with the required reductions in the most efficient and cost-effective ways. Some energy savings measures are already taking place such as submetering.

I have proudly served as QV’s President for the past 2 years.

I would like the opportunity to continue to diligently help the QV cooperative community meet the tough demands ahead of us.

Please sign this nominating petition so that I may secure a slot on the ballot.

Please list your full name and building/apt.
