We, the Ramah community, demand that the National Ramah Camping Movement institute a policy of holistic inclusion of the Imahot in the Amidah throughout all age levels and at all Ramah camps.

There is currently unsettling disunity among the different Ramah camps regarding the policy of including the Imahot in the daily Amidah. As former campers and current counselors and alumni, we know the incredible power Ramah has to define and push forward the Conservative movement. We feel that the addition of the Imahot would make a significant impact in fulfilling Ramah’s values of egalitarianism and inclusion. Ramah should move towards celebrating women’s leadership and voices in our tradition through this powerful and implementable change.
