This petition is a call to action for all unhappy, disgruntled, and ignored citizens of the city of Sacramento. For the last few years small businesses have closed unnoticed, chain restaurants have been encouraged to take their place (by city council members), local public schools have been privatized (by Mayor Johnson and his wife Michelle Rhee); the mayor and city council have constantly ignored the issues critical to the survival of our city and happiness of our citizens. More recently, the city council passed a decision 6 to 2 to monetize (sell out) public parking downtown to a private company for a mere 180M (high value being 230m) FOR 50 YEARS! In order to fund Kevin Johnson's pet project the "Downtown Sports Complex". Today it is absolutely necessarily for all citizens of Sacramento who's children attend public schools that are at risk for closure, who's small businesses face unprecedented tax hikes, who's streets and levees have not seen repairs in years...to stand up and say NO MORE! RECALL THESE INCOMPETENT INDIVIDUALS! These same types of unchecked acts have made neighboring cities such as Stockton go bankrupt (and earn a place on the top 10 most miserable cities in the U.S list). SAVE SACRAMENTO! DEMAND A RECALL!

As they were the only two council members competent and considerate of the people's needs to vote "no" on the arena plan.
