We, the students, staff, faculty, and other members of the University of Notre Dame community, respectfully request disputes in favor of preventing medical coverage for women's contraceptives be dropped. Collectively, we agree that we are entitled to full medical coverage for contraceptive services. Furthermore, while Notre Dame is founded upon religious values, we feel the decision to use contraceptives should be at the discretion of the individual's wishes and not by the medical conditions a person may or may not have. Finally, we ask that our personal opinions and preferences be appropriately and professionally considered when handling decisions regarding the healthcare plans we are directly investing in.

im still reading through all the stories people are sending in about how these healthcare decisions actually impact their lives. it is clear that a lot of us feel pushed out of these conversations and i think its time we start looking at the next steps to get some real transparency.

im honestly so blown away by how much momentum we have right now. it really feels like people are finally paying attention to what we have to say about our own healthcare.

As a Notre Dame student, I am disappointed in my university, which seeks to deny me access to a vital medication.
Seriously, not everyone has to follow the "Catholic values" of the University. Everyone has the right to choose their own health care needs.
It takes compassion to understand women's health, and our ND community should be open to listen to their needs.
Are women part of the Notre Dame family? ND legal battles against providing contraceptives, even for the thousands of happily married ND staff and students, point to a second class 'citizenship' for women at this institution.
Birth control is not only used to prevent pregnancy but to treat many medical conditions common among women.
For the right that females are entitled to their own bodies and whatever decisions they make thereof.
