Reform OSCCR & the Code of Student Conduct
We, the Undersigned, Believe the Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution and the Code of Student Conduct, in their current form, infringe on our rights as students and American citizens. Believe that as currently enrolled students or closely affiliated members of the Northeastern community, it is our responsibility to petition the administration for redress of these grievances. Wholeheartedly endorse the published and publicized objectives of the Northeastern OSCCR Reform Group and give permission for the Northeastern OSCCR Reform Group to present our names in support of said objectives, including: 1. Changes in the Code of Conduct and the Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution proceedings to reflect our liberties under the American Constitution. 2. The cessation of double jeopardy and persecution of off-campus incidents. 3. The enactment of a more liberal residence hall policy. 4. The abandonment of the counterproductive policy of minimum sanctions. 5. The creation of an absolution policy to reward students for sustained good behavior. 6. Reforms in the structure and procedure of the judicial and Code of Conduct Review boards. Sincerely,
