we just got the word that the university is officially issuing the partial tuition refunds. i honestly cant believe this actually worked out but it proves that sticking together pays off.

Final supporters
Students are staying at home, missing classes and not even doing labs anymore due to COVID-19. They are not getting the same quality of education that they paid for and at least a partial amount of the fees should be refunded or lower the fees for the next semester by a fixed percentage. As it is not as good of a quality as the face to face lectures and actual labs. We also do not have access to the facilities, labs, help centers and computers that were initially paid for.
We are more than 5000 students in AUS, if we all work together this will work and it will help a lot of families that are struggling these days due to the circumstances. Many families have lost their source of income and do not guarantee anything.
It would mean a lot if you shared it!

ive been reading through all the stories people are posting about how hard these times are and it really puts everything into perspective. im working on getting these concerns in front of the right people at the university because the current situation just isnt right for us.

im honestly blown away by how many of us feel the exact same way about these fees. seeing the momentum grow so fast proves that were not just imagining how unfair this situation is.

I believe as a parents that we deserve a refund because my child is not getting the benefits we are paying for as parents. This is unfair and at least a partial refund shall take place.
there is no doubt that our professors are trying their best as well to make this online education thing work. however, we aren’t using the facilities, labs and a few other things.
Although we’re still learning, thus we are not using the stuff we paid for such as, computers, scanners, printing lab, working areas, all kinds of labs and much more. We pay you 100000 dhs for all the facilities and we have the right to get some of our money back if we don’t get to use them anymore.
We all understand that the current circumstances are hard and had a huge impact on AUS, but i feel like we are now paying for things we’re not using or not a part of and this includes : activities fee, lab fees, dorm fees and so on. If at least they could refund some of this money it would only sound fair.
I payed for the labs in caad and all my courses are practical this semester. Not only in caad, but theatre courses too. I did not take any advantage of these labs
Definitely fair to do so.
I’m too exhausted and I don’t understand anything from these online please end them

I say that we get a refund for the activity and insurance plan fees. Because I believe that these facilities weren't used as expected. 750 dhs is alot of money for something I didnt use.
